Johnny Mack Arrington, 77, of Charlotte, died Sunday, August 11, 2013, surrounded by his family. Mack was born August 10, 1936, in Huntington, WV, the son of Noah Harold and Alah Noreen (Overby) Arrington. He graduated high school in Huntington before taking a job sweeping the floors at Owens-Illinois. He married the love of his life, Barbara Ruth Bias and the two started their family. In the early 1960s, Mack and Barbara moved their family to Charlotte, MI, where Mack continued his career with OI, working his way up to Production Manager. He traveled all over the world consulting for OI during his career and in retirement. Mack was also an original member of the Charlotte Eagle's Aerie 3552 and a longtime member of the Charlotte Country Club. His greatest passion, above even golf, was his family and the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Arrington; children, Mike (Sue) Arrington of Eaton Rapids, Teresa (Carl) McKiddie of Bellevue, and John (Anita) Arrington of Bowling Green, OH; grandchildren, Kara (Russ) Wise, Mandy (Scott) Toney, Adrienne and Alex Arrington, and Jordan and Ayla Arrington; and great-granchildren, Colin Wise, McKenna and McKayla Toney, and Emma Wise. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob Arrington. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Pray Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Byrens officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Pray Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bosworth Cemetery in Olivet. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton County Medical Care Facility Activity Fund or Eaton Community Palliative Care. Arrangements by Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
